What do AI, Automation, and TLC Have in Common?

Impexium recently returned from the inspirational ASAE Annual Meeting in vibrant (and hot) Atlanta, GA. The conference resembles a family reunion in many ways. After all, the association community is a tight-knit space. Hallways were filled with screeches of delight as old friends saw each other for the first time in years. New connections were made, and creative ideas were exchanged. From our point of view, the buzz of the conference can be summed up in three different words:

  1. AI (anyone surprised?)
  2. Automation
  3. TLC

Artificial Intelligence was, and will continue to be, a hot topic!

People are excited about AI. People are concerned about AI. People are confused by AI. And with good reason. At the Impexium booth, we discussed and demonstrated how Impexium clients can implement AI resources to improve member engagement, streamline operations, and create personalized experiences for members.

Attendee Chantelle McPherson, Membership Manager at the American Land Title Association stated, “AI is here and associations should investigate ways to use AI and automation to address certain functions and improve customer service.”

AI has the potential to empower associations in unprecedented ways. To help continue these conversations, Impexium is sponsoring Association Trends’ Association AI Day. Join us on November 6 in Washington, DC.

The busy work must stop! Automation is the answer.

At Impexium, we like to say, take care of what’s important. Automate the rest. At ASAE Annual, we showed attendees how they can use automation to save time and energy. We demoed popular use cases, such as automatically:

  • Dropping new members into onboarding campaigns
  • Generating membership renewals and invoices
  • Sending reminders about products in abandoned shopping carts.

Looks of relief splashed over people’s faces when they realized they could eliminate mundane tasks and focus more on their association’s mission.

Donna Butcher, CAE, Director, Membership at the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition attended Impexium’s Power Automate demo where we showcased pre-built templates, which allow you to connect popular apps and services with Impexium. No tech expert required.

Donna stated, “I enjoyed learning new real-life ways to make life easier for my team and me. Several of the templates created are applicable to our day-to-day, and it was exciting to see how they can help us create a more efficient method to tackle many tasks.”

Are you ready to automate rudimentary tasks? Learn how at our upcoming webinar, Automation Is In. Tedious To-dos Are Out.

TLC’s Still Got It!

The American girl group TLC started in Atlanta in 1990. ASAE brought them in for the conference’s Opening Celebration. TLC and their? incredible backup dancers brought down the house!! The energized crowd sang, danced, and smiled for the entire show.  It was hard to speak of anything else the next morning. The concert brought back memories for attendees growing up in that era, and the younger audience was introduced to greatness. It was the perfect reminder of the importance of stepping away from reality and having a good time.

What was your greatest ASAE Annual Meeting takeaway?

We asked a few friends of Impexium to share their ASAE Annual Conference experiences.

“I loved reconnecting with friends and learning from new contacts. I engaged in some promising conversations and learning focused on building positive and healthy organizational cultures. I also tested this year, blocking off the day after I returned to be sure I had time to recover and absorb all the goodness I had experienced in Atlanta. I may make it two days next year.”

“I found that ASAE had informative sessions and fun receptions, and the expo hall was the perfect networking spot! It was really great to experience new things like a coloring page on a menu, reformatting how panelists sit in the middle of a session room, and conducting a debate format. It was a rejuvenating conference, and I’m excited to bring some new ideas back to my team!”

“ASAE Annual is always a place to reconnect to the community that most understands me. This year, I had so much fun presenting, meeting new association colleagues, and enjoying the many festivities ASAE and its sponsors/partners hosted. The continued education from all the enlightening sessions has been buzzing through my brain and notes since I returned. One thing I did make a note of for next year’s packing list is an umbrella! I thought I would have been prepared for everything, but those rainstorms threw me for a loop!”
