In our continuous effort to enhance the security of our system and protect your data, Impexium will implement changes to our minimum password length per the recommendations from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). For further details, please refer to the NIST password guidelines.
Effective March 15, 2024, Impexium will mandate a minimum password length of 12 or more characters for all new association staff and new users (ex. members, prospects and/or partners) requiring access to Impexium. Additionally, when existing staff and users opt to change their passwords, the system will require them to set a password of at least 12 characters. This policy aligns with industry best practices to strengthen the security of your user accounts and information.
We strongly advise changing the “Minimum Required Password Length” setting in Impexium’s configuration section to 12 characters or more. Additionally, please set the Impexium “Default User Password” setting to a value of 12 characters or greater to ensure Impexium passwords meet the new requirement. These proactive steps help ensure the continued safety of your data and maintain the integrity of your user accounts.
