The COVID pandemic didn’t so much cause a problem for the US Bartenders Guild as exacerbate an existing one. With a recent decline in the service and hospitality industry, thanks to the pandemic, USBG struggled to recruit new volunteer leaders. The workforce was stretched so thin that the perceived complications that came with leadership positions (i.e time-consuming reports and paperwork) were not considered an attractive alternative to working. The organization floundered.
USBG is now able to solve a major challenge with chapter leadership transitions thanks to the tight integration between Impexium and Billhighway. Impexium’s AMS tells the Billhighway software who the new chapter leaders are, eliminating any artificial barriers for volunteers to do their jobs. It simultaneously provides a transparent solution for USBG chapters to be able to quickly produce financial statements for members. This freed leaders from the seeming “busywork” of administrative tasks and granted them more bandwidth to focus on the best parts of their positions and actually lead.
